All is well now between Francine Diaz and Orange and Lemons vocalist Clem Castro following their controversial gig.

In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN showbiz reporter MJ Felipe, the two—along with one of its producers—clarified what really happened in the videos that made the rounds on social media recently. In the now-viral clips, the band can be seen walking out on stage after the actress performed before them—contrary to the initial schedule—during an event in Occidental Mindoro.

Clem recalled how "things got out of hand and out of control" during the show, which was delayed for two hours. ABS-CBN News reported that the OPM band was scheduled to sing ahead of Francine, whose performance was set between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. According to the media outlet, her team "requested if she can go ahead, since she was scheduled to sing just one song. They were given the go-signal, but the band was not informed of the situation."

"Ambilis ng pangyayari," Clem said, adding that he has apologized for his behavior during a dinner meeting on Friday, May 3. "I explained my side. They explained their side. And we found the root cause of the problem—it’s miscommunication."

Francine agreed with Clem and shared that she wasn't briefed about the program flow beforehand. "Okay na po kami ni Sir Clem. Okay naman na po, nagkaayos naman na," she continued.

The actress said she has likewise apologized to Clem as she admitted that she "wasn't thinking properly" and "wasn't in the right state of mind" when she was called on stage.

"I should've acknowledged them. But because of intimidation, hindi ko po alam 'yung gagawin ko," she confessed. "Nag-apologize din po ako kay Sir Clem, kasi kahit hindi ko po intention na mag-disrespect, ganun po ang nangyari. Ganun 'yung naging kalabasan."

According to Clem, they decided not to release an official statement on the matter as they "didn't want to fuel the fire."

"We don't want more assumptions, more judgments from the masses, music supporters, or fans. We don't want to give more confusions," he added.

Producer and organizer Kylee Dioneda took accountability for the incident. "Humihingi po ako ng pasensya sa mga nangyari," Dioneda said. "Ito po talaga ay miscommunication lang po ng lahat, sa dami po ng nangyari that time sa event."
