Boy Abunda hopes to do a show with Kris Aquino again
Boy Abunda is looking forward to working with Kris Aquino again in the future amid the latter's health condition.
During a recent episode of his talk show, the "King of Talk" shared that he had visited Aquino at her home to celebrate her 55th birthday and expressed his wish that the actress would continue to get better.
"Last February 14 in the afternoon, binisita ko ang aking kaibigang si Kris Aquino. She's getting better. At sana, tuluy-tuloy. I continue to pray. She has gained some weight, at palagay ko, exciting things are going to happen this year," he said.
"Kung bibilangin talaga, mas matanda pa ang aming television careers kaysa kay Josh. We've been doing this for 30 years," he continued, referring to Aquino's eldest son.
Abunda hoped that he and Aquino would one day share the screen again once she had regained her strength.
"There is this thing in me that's looking forward to doing a talk show with her. I don't know if it's going to be in the form of a podcast, an online thing or a television thing but hindi ko pa alam," he said.
Abunda and Aquino have presented several talk shows together during their expansive career in the entertainment industry. These include The Buzz, Aquino & Abunda Tonight, Startalk, and Boy & Kris.
Aquino herself previously shared that she misses doing interviews as she teased a possible video podcast of her own. She later said that her goal is to do interviews with other people on a regular basis.
"My goal is once a week sit-down interviews with people who for me are interesting and with God’s blessing, weekly enjoyable treatment of products I really use," she said.
"There’s a team doing my hair and makeup, I have a skeleton crew, a two-camera setup shooting me and the closeups of the others as well as product shots and I’m excited to start sharing new home cooking recipes made simpler with all of you," she added.
Aquino is currently undergoing treatment for her autoimmune diseases, including fibromyalgia (causing widespread pain), polymyositis (causing muscle weakness), and mixed connective tissue disease (a combination of lupus, scleroderma, and polymyositis). She received treatment in the United States from June 2022 to September 2024 before returning to the Philippines.
