LOOK: Anne Curtis shares snaps from bootcamp in preparation for film with Erik Matti
Anne Curtis is all set up and ready for her upcoming film with award-winning director Erik Matti.
On Sunday, Aug. 27, the Kapamilya star shared a glimpse of her last training session for the upcoming film.
“Sir, yes sir. Bootcamp done,” the 38-year-old actress wrote in her post which includes photos of her in action, as well as those taken with Matti and her co-stars such as Gerald Anderson.
“Snappy Salute at Maraming Salamat po 201st Infantry Kabalikat Brigade. Here we go! Training season is upon us [Erik Matti],” she added.
Prior to this, Anne also underwent a sayoc kali training in April and earlier this month.
“Back to the blade. Back to where Manigan was made,” she wrote in her Aug. 17 Instagram post. Nina Manigan was her role in the hit action film, BuyBust.
Award-winning director Erik Matti first announced their collaboration in February.
“We don’t shoot movies that are fast and easy. And with someone like Anne who already knows how much bucketloads of blood, sweat and tears it’ll take to do our kind of movies and yet is still so excited and passionate with the story we are going to tell, we can only give it our best to someone like Anne who is hungry to not just make good work but to also pour in the hardwork it takes to get it done. Love ya always!!!" he wrote.
This will be her comeback movie after her showbiz hiatus to focus on pregnancy and being a first-time mom to Dahlia Amelie. More details about her budding action film have yet to be disclosed.
Other than her roles in comedy, romance, and drama both in film and TV, Anne is also celebrated for her award-winning role in the action movie BuyBust which scored four wins in the 2019 Gawad Urian awards.
