Anne Curtis is showcasing once more that she truly has a heart of gold as she announced that she raised over P2 million following the 2023 Tokyo Marathon. The funds will benefit child victims of abuse or violence.

In case you missed it, the It's Showtime host participated in one of the most prestigious marathons in the world for a cause in partnership with the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund Philippines, wherein they aimed at "helping abused Filipino children get the support and services they need to heal and recover."

On her Instagram post, Anne shared the good news that they exceeded their goal of raising P1 million in funds and have managed to go past the two million mark.

"We can all be heroes, even if it’s just for one day. Closing my funding page at 1,089,264.67! Way above our goal and as promised, I will be matching that amount. So with our collective effort, we have raised 2,178,529.34," she wrote.

She went on to thank everyone who had the heart to donate no matter the amount.

"Whether it was one peso or 50,000 pesos, it was of great value. No donation was small, because behind each donation was a big heart that wanted to help Filipino children who are victims of abuse get the help they need to heal and recover," Anne underscored.

"I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity. Reading your messages and having that core goal of making a difference in lives of children kept me inspired for 42.2 kilometers," she added.

Many of her fans and followers showered her with appreciation messages for her advocacy.

"Thank you for always using your platform for the things that the world needs badly: love, compassion, awareness, truth. The fact that you’re also bringing in your personal resources into your advocacy speaks volumes about you as an amazing human being," one user wrote.

Another one added, "You’re amazing! So proud of you for being a hero to all those children in need."

The recently concluded Tokyo Marathon marks the third time that Anne has participated in the six-city World Marathon Majors. She first joined in the New York City Marathon in 2016 and then the London Marathon in 2018, where she both finished a 42-kilometer run.
