Ellen Adarna opens up about dealing with anxiety after Derek Ramsay announced her miscarriage
Ellen Adarna shared that she got anxious when Derek Ramsay revealed her recent miscarriage to the public, especially since she had no plans of announcing it.
The model-entrepreneur shared her reaction to her husband's announcement in a series of now-expired Q&As on her Instagram account.
When a social media user asked how she’s been following the miscarriage, Adarna assured that she's doing fine but noted she had no plans of making it public.
"I'm okay. I had no plans announcing it to be honest,” she said. “And if ever, I'm not going to announce it. Ma-shock na lang kayo na may baby na. But my husband can't shut his mouth," she continued.
The 35-year-old celebrity mom revealed that the sudden announcement gave her anxiety.
“The day he told me that he mentioned me and talked about it, it actually gave me anxiety, 'cause oh my god, why?” she shared, adding, “So my plan is when I get pregnant, I'm not gonna tell my husband.”
Derek talked about Ellen's miscarriage during a media conference for his Metro Manila Film Festival entry, Kampon.
The actor recalled the time when Ellen realized she was running behind her monthly period and decided to take a pregnancy test during a Madrid trip.
"It was very early on in the pregnancy," he said, adding, "But she’s okay. Hindi niya kailangang magpa-confine, or magparaspa, whatsoever. So, hopefully next year, makabuo na uli kami.”
In June, the model shared in her Instagram stories that she has quit smoking after 17 years and had her IUD removed in hopes of having a baby.
Derek and Ellen tied the knot in November 2021. They exchanged 'I dos' in a mountain resort in Bagac, Bataan on Nov. 11 last year, and got married again in a Peruvian despacho ceremony led by a local shaman during their first anniversary. They are enjoying their married life with Elias, Ellen's son with her ex-boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz.
