Ellen Adarna says John Lloyd Cruz ‘insisted’ on doubling financial support for their son Elias
Ellen Adarna shared how she and John Lloyd Cruz are taking care of financial matters when it comes to co-parenting their son Elias.
In a now-expired Instagram story, the actress answered a netizen’s question on whether the actor has been providing financial support for their child even after their split. “Yes, he does,” she said.
Ellen revealed that she gave him a breakdown of their kid’s needs, which amounted to a maximum of P10,000. John Lloyd, however, “insisted on doubling it.”
“I know he’s more than capable of giving more than that, but I told him I cannot accept anything more than 20,000 pesos—and that’s it,” she said, “because we’re co-parenting. I also have my obligations and responsibilities for Elias, so it’s just fair.”
“Anything more than 20,000 pesos for me is just not right, morally not right because he’s not schooling yet. He hasn’t started school, so that’s just basic needs,” she added.
Ellen and John Lloyd began their low-key romance in 2017 and welcomed Elias a year later. Breakup rumors between them started circulating in 2019, but Ellen only confirmed it in 2020.
Ellen is now happily married to actor Derek Ramsay, while John Lloyd is rumored to be in a relationship with artist Isabel Santos.
