AJ Raval believes Aljur Abrenica won't cheat on her
AJ Raval said she is "confident" that her boyfriend, Aljur Abrenica, won't cheat on her. And if he does, she would likely blame herself.
AJ faced questions about Aljur's potential infidelity during a family interview on veteran broadcaster Julius Babao's YouTube channel, Julius Babao UNPLUGGED, with her father, Jeric Raval, stepmother Holiday Buensuceso, and their children.
"Pa'no kung si Aljur ay ganun din ang gagawin, sa ginawa ng tatay mo?" Julius asked, pertaining to Jeric's past as a "womanizer."
The Vivamax actress answered that she would blame herself for it and think that it was her fault that her partner cheated.
"Siguro kung dumating sa point na ganun, siguro sisisihin ko yung sarili ko. Syempre… kung naging maayos ba akong partner, naging ano ba ko, nagger, nasuportahan ko ba siya n’ung time na down siya?"
The 23-year-old actress then asserted, "Pero ngayon, confident ako na hindi niya gagawin sakin 'yun, kasi maganda yung dynamics namin ngayon."
"Of course, galing na siya sa pagkakamali. Sinasabi niya, natuto na siya," she added.
'Huwag mong hayaang manalo 'yung kerida'
When Julius asked Holiday for advice, she emphasized the importance of AJ making a thoughtful decision about their relationship.
Holiday said, "Parang sa case namin ni tatay [Jeric], isipin mo munang mabuti kung ano ba talaga kayo, kung para saan [ito]?"
This was also agreed by Jeric, “Huwag mong hayaang manalo ‘yung kerida, parang ganun [kasi] sa case ni Holiday, kung sumuko siya nun, ay nanalo 'yung isa, parang pinamigay mo na.”
Last month, AJ and Aljur denied the allegations about them having a love child.
According to the actress, she didn't care about the issue because, during that time, she felt "genuine happiness" within herself and other people.
"Actually 'di ko na siya napansin masyado kasi parang nasanay na ako sa mga issue-issue tsaka yearly ako buntis eversince," she jokingly said.
Aljur clarified that the kid they were with was AJ's relative.
On Valentine's Day last year, Aljur and AJ went Instagram official by sharing a snap together on their respective IG pages.
AJ was first romantically linked to Aljur after the latter's ex-wife, Kylie Padilla, confirmed their breakup in July 2021. AJ later revealed that she's been going out with Aljur, but denied that she was the reason for their split.
In March 2022, AJ’s dad Jeric confirmed his daughter’s romantic relationship with the actor. “Lalaki namang kausap yung tao, mabait naman. Tinanong ko lang naman sa kanya kung siya ba ay hiwalay. ‘Opo.’ ‘Ano ba ang plano mo sa anak ko?’ Sabi niya, nagmamahalan daw sila. ‘Eh ‘di magaling,’ sabi ko. ‘Yung tipikal na tinatanong ng isang ama,” he said in an interview with an online publication.
