AJ Raval's father Jeric tells Aljur Abrenica: 'Ang anak ko, gusto ko pakasalan mo'
Jeric Raval has no qualms with having Aljur Abrenica take his daughter AJ to the altar, as long as he has his problems fixed.
The veteran action star revealed this as he guested in Fast Talk with Boy Abunda. Opening up about his relationship with Aljur, Jeric said that he has talked to the actor about his romance with AJ out of concern for his daughter's well-being.
"Nung una, syempre kinakausap ko si Aljur dahil ‘yung anak ko bata lang. Sabi ko lang kay Aljur, 'Ikaw ba ay hiwalay?' [Sabi niya], 'Opo,'" Jeric said.
He then recalled pleading three things that he wishes for Aljur to do, "Una, ‘yung anak ko, bata pa yan. Pangalawa, ‘yung biyenan mo ay kaibigan ko. Eh ano kayang sasabihin ko sa biyenan mo ‘pag nagkita kami? Baka sabihin kinukunsinti ko kayo."
Jeric was talking about his fellow veteran actor in the action scene, Robin Padilla, who is the father of Aljur's estranged wife Kylie.
"Sabi ko, ‘I-ayos mo muna ‘yung sarili mo, hijo. Wala naman akong problema sa inyo dahil buhay niyo yan eh. Pagdating sa buhay pag-ibig ng anak ko, hindi ko na saklaw ‘yon,'" Jeric said.
He then disclosed that he told Aljur that he wanted him to put a ring on AJ's finger once everything is settled.
"Ang sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Ang anak ko, gusto ko pakasalan mo. Basta ‘pag ayos ka na, wala ka nang problema, pakasalan mo ‘yung anak ko,'" he shared.
AJ was first romantically linked to Aljur when they starred in the VivaMax movie Nerisa, which was released in the same month as when Kylie announced that she and Aljur were no longer together.
This has led to third-party accusations on AJ's part, which she has vehemently denied. While Aljur admitted that he had not been faithful to Kylie, he clarified that AJ had nothing to do with the breakup.
Aljur and AJ eventually went Instagram official on Valentine's Day this year.
Kylie said she and her estranged husband are still finalizing their annulment. While they're already on good terms and have agreed to co-parent their kids, the actress recently opened up about experiencing an existential crisis and getting "stuck in fight or flight" since her "very public separation" from Aljur.
