AJ Raval, Aljur Abrenica deny love child rumors
Celebrity couple AJ Raval and Aljur Abrenica set the record straight regarding rumors about them having a love child.
After recent photos surfaced of the couple in Subic, Zambales with a young girl wearing a mask, social media users have been debating whether the child is theirs. Some claim the child is too old to be their biological child.
In an interview with veteran broadcaster Julius Babao on his YouTube channel, Julius Babao UNPLUGGED, the couple finally spoke up about the allegations.
AJ has repeatedly seen rumors suggesting she's pregnant, even though it's never been true. However, the Vivamax artist said she's open to the idea of having a baby and would be thrilled, regardless of public opinion.
"First of all hindi po ako taon taon buntis at tsaka kung mabubuntis man po ako ngayon, magalit man po yung maraming tao, ako pa rin yung pinakamasayang tao sa buong mundo," she said.
The 23-year-old sexy actress went on to say that she didn't care about the issue because, during that time, she felt "genuine happiness" within herself and other people.
"Hindi ko siya masyadong binigyan ng focus kasi nung, nawala ako, ang saya saya ko eh, imagine kahit papano nakapag-graduate ako, nag-ALS (Alternative Learning System) ako, natulungan ko yung mga tao sa programa na 'yun, na ma-inspire, bakit ako magfo-focus sa ganung bagay.
"Actually 'di ko na siya napansin masyado kasi parang nasanay na ako sa mga issue-issue tsaka yearly ako buntis eversince," she jokingly ended.
Meanwhile, Aljur denied the speculations when Julius asked, "May anak ba kayo?"
"Wala po," he said, "Bat [kami] na chichismis na may anak? Ang bilis naman lumaki nung bata."
He continued: "Yung bata na 'yun isa sa mga kamag-anak niya [AJ], 'diko alam kung kaninong anak 'yun sa family niya."
When asked about having a family in the future with AJ, Aljur said, "Yeah, napag-uusapan din namin. Alam mo si AJ, she's very supportive especially pagdating sa'kin kung paano ko maalagaan 'yung mga bata."
In November 2022, AJ found herself embroiled in pregnancy rumors when Ogie Diaz and Cristy Fermin alleged that she had recently given birth.
"Ito po ay kumpirmadong balita. Kung paano po dadalhin ng pamilya ni AJ Raval at ni AJ mismo at ni Aljur Abrenica ay hindi po natin alam kung ano na naman po ang kanilang sasabihin. Basta ang masasabi po namin, mag-deny man po ng libong beses ang kahit sino, darating at darating po ang pagharap natin sa katotohanan," Cristy said.
Similarly, Ogie affirmed the issue, according to his "source." During that time, his source said AJ gave birth in a hospital in Pasig.
"Si Aljur Abrenica raw ay nandun sa labas ng madaling araw, noong November 19, nag-aabang sa labas. Nandun siya sa loob ng sasakyan, naka-face mask, hanggang sa eventually malaman ng ating source na, ‘Ayun. Si Aljur nga yun.’ Kasi tinanggal ang face mask,” he said.
On Valentine's Day last year, Aljur and AJ went Instagram official by sharing a snap together on their respective IG pages.
AJ was first romantically linked to Aljur after the latter’s ex-wife, Kylie Padilla, confirmed their breakup in July 2021. AJ later revealed that she’s been going out with Aljur, but denied that she was the reason for their split.
In March 2022, AJ’s dad Jeric confirmed his daughter’s romance with the actor. “Lalaki namang kausap yung tao, mabait naman. Tinanong ko lang naman sa kanya kung siya ba ay hiwalay. ‘Opo.’ ‘Ano ba ang plano mo sa anak ko?’ Sabi niya, nagmamahalan daw sila. ‘Eh ‘di magaling,’ sabi ko. ‘Yung tipikal na tinatanong ng isang ama,” he said in an interview with an online publication.
