Vicki Belo asks for kindness after receiving comments about her 'uneven' breasts

Vicki Belo has called for kindness, reminding her followers she's a cancer survivor, after receiving unsolicited comments about the appearance of her breasts.

The celebrity doctor addressed the issue via a short video on Instagram. In the post, Belo included screenshots of comments about her breasts, with social media users saying it’s “uneven.”

“I thought I’d address it because baka you think my breasts were done in Belo and it’s uneven—that’s so not true,” she began in the clip, referring to her aesthetics clinic.

Belo recounted her bout with stage three breast cancer in 2016.

“If you recall, I had breast cancer nine years ago, and my tumor was actually five cm by seven cm big on my left breast. They took out the tumor,” she shared, saying she did the procedure in the United States.

“They put something in, and I don’t even know what it is. I asked my doctor, he told me it’s tissue, but it’s not silicone. It’s something much harder,” she added.

Belo noted that three lymph nodes were removed from her underarm, which is why it is a bit deep on one side.

“Please be kind na lang. You know, I’m a cancer survivor. I was a bit depressed in the beginning, but I didn’t let it affect my life,” she said, before turning emotional.

“I love clothes, I love sleeveless clothes, so I still wear them. Iiyak na ako. Anyway, I hope you understand,” Belo added.

Belo first opened up about her battle with breast cancer during her interview with Korina Sanchez in 2022. She shared that at the time, she had to lie low for about two years to undergo treatment in Europe.

“I went to Europe, and I was told by them [doctors] there that I was going to die. 'Don’t bother to have chemo, don’t bother—just fix your affairs, you’re dead in two years,’” she recounted.

In 2023, she marked her seventh year of being cancer-free, describing it as "one of the most difficult and scary things [she] ever had to go through."

“Thank you, God, for allowing me to see Scarlet grow up and giving my grandkids their mamita," she added. "Every day feels like a blessing."
