Korean actor Park Min Jae passes away at 32
Korean actor Park Min Jae has passed away. He was 32 years old.
His brother announced his sudden death in a social media post on Monday, Dec. 2.
“My beloved brother has gone to rest,” he wrote on Instagram, sharing details of the Korean star's funeral that will take place on Thursday, Dec. 4. His wake is being held at Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital Funeral Hall.
Min Jae's agency, Big Title, also confirmed the news later in the day. “A beautiful [actor] who loved acting and was always the best to himself, actor Minjae Park has gone to heaven,” the caption read, as translated by Instagram from Korean to English.
"Thank you very much for the love and care you have shown to actor Minjae Park," Big Title said. "[We] can't see his acting anymore, but [we] will proudly remember him as an actor of the Big Title."
According to reports by local news outlets such as Xports News and Sports Chosun, Min Jae died from sudden cardiac arrest on Nov. 29 during his China trip.
"The guy who said he would conquer China and go on a month-long trip has gone on a much longer journey. It was so sudden and so shocking. The family must be feeling unimaginable sorrow,” Big Title's CEO Hwang Joo Hye is quoted as saying.
Min Jae appeared in various TV series such as Snap and Spark, Call It Love, Goryeo-Khitan War, Bo-ra! Deborah, among others.
