Arjo Atayde gets nominated for best actor at 2023 Asia Contents Awards

After the screening of his film at the recent 76th Locarno Film Festival, Arjo Atayde continues to widen his international horizon as he is among the nominees at the Asia Contents Awards.

ABS-CBN International Production announced on Tuesday, Sept. 12, that Atayde is among the nominees for the Best Lead Actor category for this year's Asia Contents Awards and Global OTT Awards for his portrayal as Agent Anton dela Rosa in Prime Video's thriller-drama series Cattleya Killer. 

He will compete against Japanese actor Takeru Satoh from the First Love series, Korean actor Ryu Seung-ryong from the Moving series, and Chinese actor Fan Wei from the drama series The Long Season. 

Another nomination from the Philippines is GMA Network’s One at Heart, Jessica Soho: Wounds of Woes for the Best Reality and Variety category. 

Winners will be announced at the AsCA's gala on Oct. 8 at Busan Cinema Center in South Korea.  

ACA is an annual event to celebrate and recognize the excellence of artists and creatives for their content on television, OTT, and online across Asia. It aims to serve as the platform for promoting Asian excellence in making content around the globe. 

It has recognized the likes of Asian artists like Park Eun-bin, Park Hae-soo, Tatsuo Kawamura, and Lee Ji-hoon, among others.
