McCoy de Leon pens cryptic open letter to daughter amid breakup rumors with Elisse Joson
McCoy de Leon shared a cryptic post addressed to his daughter as rumors about his breakup with Elisse Joson make the rounds online.
The actor caught the attention of eagle-eyed netizens as he edited the caption of a photo he posted with his daughter Felize dating back to Dec. 19, 2022.
"Lagi mong tatandaan na mahal kita," the caption read.
He added that he hoped his daughter would be good to Joson and that she would love her. "Last na... anak, 'wag mo silang papansinin, ok?"
Some time after, de Leon changed the lengthy caption to "Lagi mong tatandaan na mahal na mahal kita."
At around 7 p.m. of Jan. 4, the actor later posted an Instagram story, which read, "Sorry po pasensya na po sa inyong lahat."
Since December 2022, de Leon and Joson were plagued with breakup rumors, with netizens accusing the actor of cheating on his girlfriend with a TikTok influencer.
The two TV personalities met in 2016 as they joined Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7. They split in 2019 and reconciled in 2021, welcoming their daughter Felize later in the year.
Last April, they said that marriage was not a priority for them as they want to be financially stable and know each other better before they put a ring on it.
"For now, gusto namin i-explore pa ang bawat side namin. Nandoon kami. Ayaw naming biglain o madaliin," the actor said.
“Alam naman natin with a baby, sudden din. So we want to be prepared to move forward din with our future. So we want to be prepared. Siyempre kasama doon kailangan namin mag-ipon," added Joson.
In May, the couple shared cryptic posts on social media about the hardships of parenthood, raising the concerns of fans. It was later revealed that they were part of an advertising campaign for a diaper brand.
