Yassi Pressman says ex-boyfriend Jon Semira taught her to love herself
If there's one thing that Yassi Pressman is grateful for in her ex-boyfriend Jon Semira, it's that he taught her to love herself.
Yassi finally broke her silence on their breakup on the Sept. 14 episode of GMA Network's Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
Although the 28-year-old star described their separation as "sobrang hirap," she looks back on her former lover as one who inspired her to chase her dreams.
"Ang leksyon talaga na naituro niya sa akin is to go for my dreams, not to be scared to really jump and commit for something that I really want," Yassi recalled to Boy.
This, in fact, is a lesson she learned not only from her former partner but from their relationship as a whole.
Yassi continued, "I think, you have to be honest with how you feel from inside because that’s what love is—not only love towards the person that you’re feeling for, but also love for yourself… So love yourself also while loving another person."
Yassi said that although their relationship did not work out, she and Jon do not have any bad blood between them.
"Unfortunately, it just didn’t really go that way pero at the end of the day, I value the time that I had with the person," Yassi told Boy.
'Lahat naman po ng may malaking naiambag sa buhay ko ay hindi ko makakalimutan. I really still wish him the best, and he wishes me the best as well."
"What’s beautiful din po is that we still have a good talking relationship; we have businesses that we built together, and despite not going that way, I really still wish him the best and he wishes me the best as well," she added.
She also addressed her recent dating rumor with Ilocos Norte Congressman Sandro Marcos, saying that there's no truth in it.
She explained, "There was this video, and si Sandro, matagal ko na po siyang kilala. We were just laughing about something and nilagyan lang po ng malisya. Slinow motion lang po, nilagyan ng music. Wala po talaga, Tito Boy."
The "King ot Talk" then asked about the real score between her and Camarines Sur Gov. Luigi Villafuerte, to which Yassi said she's just enjoying her time with the politician.
"Very happy to be spending time together. I really don't want to put label into things anymore, I'm not rushing into anything anymore, so parang kung saan na lang po talaga ako nagiging masaya. Kasi mahirap po talaga yung pinagdaanan ko and now, feeling ko wherever I’m happy, I’ll stay there,” she said.
Last August, Yassi Pressman and her ex-fiance confirmed on Instagram that their relationship had ended. They went Instagram official in July 2022 but have been together for over five years.
