James Reid postpones ‘lovescene’ tour in North America due to health concerns

Less than a week before his tour, James Reid announced that his lovescene tour in North America will be postponed to a later date this year.

On Jan. 25, the singer-songwriter revealed in an Instagram Story that he will be postponing the tour, which was scheduled to begin in Houston on Jan. 29 and end in West Hollywood on Feb. 26, due to multiple health concerns.

"With my North American Tour coming up in less than a week, I'm deeply saddened to announce that my lovescene tour will be postponed to a later date this year," the record label executive began his post.

"Firstly, I want to thank you for the overwhelming response to the tour, to all my fans and supporters, thank you for the bottom of my heart," he continued. “The past year has been an absolute ride, and with your support, I’ve been able to grow and experience unbelievable things beyond my wildest dreams."

He then went on to explain the postponement of his tour, citing the unforeseen drop in his health caused by the "exhausting grind" he has been through in preparation for the event.

"At the same time, it's been an exhausting grind that has really taken a toll on my health; physically, emotionally, and mentally," he continued. 

James furthered, “Making my fans proud is my top priority, and at this time I’ve realized that I wouldn’t be able to give you guys the performance and experience that you deserve. It wouldn’t be fair to you and fair to the people who have supported me in creating this album.” 

The always been you singer assured his North American fans with "more music and an even bigger, better show."

“I’ll make sure it’ll be worth the wait. Brb. Love you all,” he concluded. 

The 29-year-old actor has been focusing on his musical career since his last on-screen appearance in the 2018 film Miss GrannyHe is currently managing his independent music label Careless, which houses talents like Liza Soberano and new recruits Destiny Rogers, August Wahh, and SOS.

Reid has been making headlines with his collaboration and interactions with famous international artists. He recently organized the Wawy Baby music festival in Cebu.
