WATCH: Sharon Cuneta, daughter Miel wow with heartwarming duet of 'Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko'

Sharon Cuneta and her daughter Miel impressed the crowd with their duet of the Megastar’s timeless hit Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko. 

The mommy-daughter duo showcased their vocal prowess at the recently concluded Insular Life event, where they were announced as its new brand ambassadors. 

“I started singing when I was 12. This has been rerecorded by other great artists over the years. It’s timeless,” Sharon said before their performance. 

Composed by Filipino musician Rey Valera, the classic OPM hit was part of the Megastar’s 1981 album Sharon Minus One: Greatest Hits. Since its release, the Tagalog hit has maintained its popularity with the reimagination of Pinoy singers from different generations, including Noel Cabangon, Daniel Padilla, and Moira Dela Torre, among others. 

At the InLife event, Sharon also took pride in Miel as she shared that the latter got into a university in New York with a scholarship. 

Miel graduated from high school in early June. Sharon previously revealed in an Instagram post that she’s looking to take a gap year before going to college. 

With this, Miel is set to follow in the footsteps of her older sister Frankie, who also chose to study abroad as a literature major at a progressive college in New York.
