Pia Wurtzbach reveals plans for second wedding with Jeremy Jauncey in Scotland
Pia Wurtzbach and her husband Jeremy Jauncey are planning to marry once again, this time with their nearest and dearest in Scotland.
Appearing on Dr. Vicki Belo’s vlog, the beauty queen-model shared more about her intimate wedding on a private island in Seychelles in March 2023, sharing why they opted for a private wedding.
“We did it in the best way possible for us, na kaming dalawa lang, which was a little non-traditional,” she began. “We decided to have a very private wedding where we didn’t even have our families, and our witnesses were people from the island.”
The Miss Universe 2015 queen clarified that they chose to have a private wedding to fully enjoy the moment with just themselves, not because they didn’t want to celebrate it with their nearest and dearest.
“I wanted to just focus on the moment and enjoy, but it’s not to say I don’t ever want to celebrate with other people. We actually had a plan to do a second one, and we want to do it in Scotland, in a castle,” she continued.
The My Perfect You actress shared that their private wedding was something they planned together with ease, sharing that they prioritized making it simple as they didn't want to experience worrying and stressing over dealing with guests too much.
“We planned it. I knew that I wanted a very small private ceremony and thankfully that’s what he wanted also, because this is going to sound weird and I hope this doesn’t come off the wrong way, but my worst nightmare is to walk down the aisle with like camera phones on me,” she explained.
Looking back at their intimate wedding, Pia shared that the whole planning process took them just 10 minutes, and on the day itself, she revealed she was the one who did her bridal look. She added that she also asked for feng shui when deciding on their wedding date.
After being married for a year, the beauty queen said that one thing that changed is that she now feels more secure about navigating life.
“There’s a different kind of security knowing that you are now with a life partner, and you’ve committed to forever,” she said.
She added, “No matter what happens in the outside world, you have someone to come home to and that person isn’t going anywhere, and that’s a nice feeling for me coming from a broken family.”
Pia and Jeremy first confirmed their relationship when they got featured on the cover of a magazine's June 2020 issue.
They got engaged in May 2022 during their staycation on luxury island Amanpulo in Palawan.
