Liza Soberano gets into film school
Liza Soberano revealed she has entered film school as she aspires to wear a hat as a director in the future.
The actress gave a life update in an interview with entertainment reporter MJ Felipe on Aug. 29 as she talked about simply having a blast and “enjoying the process” at the moment.
“In life, I’m just having fun, enjoying the process because right now, I’m going to film school as well so I’ve been working on a lot of things behind the scenes lately so I’m just really excited about that,” she revealed.
When asked about her inspiration to take up film, the local star mentioned that she’s hoping to “go into directing” someday.
“I was actually meeting with Direk Tonette Jadaone and Direk Dan Villegas and they mentioned to me that Direk Dan Villegas was hosting a class at Ateneo, so I went to one class already and I hope to continue taking classes for film,” she said.
Soberano worked with Jadaone and Villegas in the 2019 film Alone/Together, where she starred alongside her real-life partner Enrique Gil.
She’s been traveling to and from the Philippines and the United States as she pursues a Hollywood career. She has an upcoming comedy-horror film Lisa Frankenstein along with international stars Cole Sprouse and Kathryn Newton.
Just recently, she graced the cover of a Singaporean magazine, which described her as “one of the Philippines’ most captivating young actors.”
