Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter Vivienne seeks to legally drop 'Pitt' from last name
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's daughter Vivienne is seeking to legally remove "Pitt" from her surname, making her the fourth of their six children to do so.
PEOPLE Magazine exclusively reported that the 18-year-old filed the legal request for a name change from Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt to simply Vivienne Marcheline Jolie. As seen in court records obtained by the publication, she listed "personal reasons" as the basis for her petition.
A hearing on her application has been set for Nov. 2, court documents showed.
Aside from Vivienne, Brad and Angelina's three other children Zahara, Maddox, and Shiloh have also made name change requests to become Zahara Marley Jolie, Maddox Chivan Jolie, and Shiloh Jolie, respectively. Two of their kids—Pax and Knox—have yet to take legal steps to do the same.
Jolie and Pitt became a couple after co-starring in the 2005 movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
In 2016, Jolie accused Pitt of raping her on a private plane. She also claimed Pitt "physically and verbally" assaulted her and their kids and said he was already abusive before the plane incident. This was when the Eternals star filed for divorce.
The two were ruled legally single in 2019.
