Which Nadine Lustre meme or catchphrase gives you the ‘mood’?

The actress has no doubt been loved by many not just for her talent in singing and acting, or killer looks, but more so, her funny and relatable clap backs that keep the Internet talking every time.

Recently, Nadine proved yet again that she isn't called "President Nadine" for nothing when she updated her New Year catchphrase with a witty twist.

And if you're looking to welcome 2023 with an attitude as fierce as the queen, let this list of Nadine's memes and catchphrases over the years get you into the mood.

'2023 na amaccana accla'

On Thursday, Dec. 29, Nadine 'blessed' 2023 with a fun twist to her annual catchphrase, "C'mon guys, it's 2017." The 29-year-old star retweeted a candid photo of her during the Metro Manila Film Festival's (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal held last Dec. 27, where she is seen talking to the press with her mouth wide open.

She captioned her post, "I think this is the '2023 na amaccana accla' pic."

As usual, the tweet humored the public, with one netizen commenting "dinogshow ang sarili" while another one said, "Yearly reminder of what year are we in from our President Nadine I stan so hard."

'Asal imburnal pa rin'

Last year, the Deleter star updated her 2017 catchphrase by showing her effortlessly real self. In a tweet on Dec. 30, 2021, Nadine took to Twitter to tell followers to "avoid arguing with people" who tend to belittle others and be wise enough not to be one.

"This 2022 avoid arguing with people who resort to 'bobo,' 'tanga' or blocks u in a convo. Lets be civilized and have proper conversations like human beings," she wrote.

"2022 na, asal imburnal pa rin."

Nadine is always a beauty with or without makeup. Take it from the candid photo of her natural and calm face while buying a lechon sauce in Siargao.

The photo went viral in August 2021, not only for her unfiltered beauty, but also because netizens made their own funny versions of the photo as well. Check out which ones were approved by President Nadine below.

‘President Nadine Lustre’

Inspired by the actress' notion of being vocal about social issues, the moniker 'President Nadine Lustre' was born in 2018.

Aware of the title made by her fans, Lustre said in an interview, "Honestly, it's just really nice to be someone a lot of people look up to, na ako 'yung parang inspiration nila, na they look at me as someone who's strong, who is very empowered, someone who is inspiring also."

"Since the beginning naman, noong pumasok ako sa showbiz, iyon naman po talaga 'yung gusto kong gawin. I want every one to realize na... Just strive, reach for your dreams," she added.

This meme was also used as a reference when she endorsed a candidate during elections.

'Tuloy pa rin naman ang buhay, hindi naman ako affected'

Who remembers this line? This was Nadine's response to the public's mixed reactions following her statements about the issue of living in with her ex-boyfriend James Reid in 2017.

Her statement read, "Hindi naman lahat a-agree sa sagot mo, hindi naman lahat magiging negative din. Ganun po. Tuloy pa rin naman yung buhay. Hindi naman ako affected. Basta nasabi ko na yung dapat kong sabihin the last time."

'C'mon guys, it's 2017'

This iconic line that started it all. Way back in 2017, rumors circulated that Nadine and her former reel-to-real partner James Reid are living under the same roof. With the country's conservative norm, this wasn't received well by most people.

She said in an ambush interview with ABS-CBN News, "I mean if that was true, so what? Hindi ba? It's not new anymore,"

"There are younger couples—mas young pa sa akin [who are already living together]," she continued. "It's normal na, e. Come on, guys, it's 2017!" she said.

She also used this photo for welcoming 2018 and to bid goodbye to controversies from the previous year. "Leaving all the nega and malarkey in 2017. If you're one of them, BYE Felicia," the actress wrote in another post.
