Philippines’ Chelsea Manalo among Missosology and Sash Factor’s final hot picks for Miss Universe 2024
Philippine bet Chelsea Manalo made it to the final list of pageant experts’ hot picks for the Miss Universe 2024 competition.
Manalo ranked ninth on Missosology’s list, which was topped by Thailand's Suchata Chuangsri, Denmark’s Victoria Kjær Theilvig, and Peru's Tatiana Calmell, respectively.
"She was a darkhorse back at Miss Universe Philippines and it is the same status that she has now at Miss Universe,” a post on the pageant website read.
"There’s a lot of expectations on her and any partial observer would conclude that she fell short in delivering of what was expected from her during the semis,” it added. "Still, a sash called Philippines carries a lot of weight in the pageant and Chelsea could simply pull off a surprise!”

Sash Factor, another pageant expert, also included Manalo on their list at number 10. Their top three are Calmell, Chuangsri, and Venezuela's Ileana Márquez.
Here are its Top 30 picks for the 73rd Miss Universe tilt.
The coronation night will be held on Nov. 17 (PH time) in Arena CDMX, Mexico, with Manalo vying to take home the fifth Miss Universe crown for the Philippines after Catriona Gray (2018), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margie Moran (1973), and Gloria Diaz (1969).
Manalo was crowned Miss Universe Philippines in May, making history as the first Filipina of African descent to win the crown.
