"Wow! That's the Hollywood film producer Lawrence Bender! I wonder if Heart is doing a film with him," one user commented.
"So you're gonna be in the next Crazy Rich Asians?? Yes or no heart," a netizen asked.
"Something CRA-zy coming our way! [smiling face with heart eyes emojis]" another one quipped.
Meanwhile, other fans speculated that Heart will be starring as Colette Bing in the movie adaptation of the book's sequel titled China Rich Girlfriend. The character is a popular fashion blogger and the daughter of Jack Ring, who is the second richest man in China in the story.
"Colette Bing?" one of Heart's followers asked.
“Amoy Colette Bing. Crazy Rich Asian Movie na talaga," another user said.
One fan even related Heart's post to her press con during the campaign of her husband and senatorial aspirant Chiz Escudero in Cebu last April. Here, the actress mentioned that she will be out of the country for four months. The fan speculated that this is for her casting in the film.
"Look sa YouTube interview nia sa Cebu [smiley with heart eyes emoji]. She’ll leaving May, June, July, and mahaba-haba sa August," the fan wrote.
Apart from the photo, Heart shared a series of Instagram Stories that showed clips of her, Kevin, and Lawrence in a photo op during their reunion dinner. Kevin likewise posted a photo with Heart on his personal Instagram account with the caption, “So wonderful to reconnect with good friends.”
It can be recalled that in Dra. Aivee’s vlog in February 14, Heart Evangelista told the celebrity cosmetics surgeon that she did audition for a role in the film’s first book adaptation, but unfortunately, it did not push through.
It was for the role of Araminta Lee, who was played by Japanese-British actress Sonoya Mizuno. Heart became friends with Kevin afterward.
The film debuted in August 2018 and grossed＄240 million at the global box office. This then prompted Warner Bros. to work on the next two books in Kevin’s trilogy, China Rich Girlfriend and Rich People Problems. Details of both films are still kept under wraps as of today.
