LOOK: Pete Davidson reveals results of major tattoo removal after 4 years
Pete Davidson showed off his nearly inkless forearms at this week's Saturday Night Live (SNL), where he made a surprise appearance.
While the comedian has been known for his tattoos, having over 100 of them at some point, he shared in 2020 that he was beginning a long-term journey to remove his ink to pursue his acting career.
“For some reason, people in movies, they don’t have (tattoos) that much,” he said in a television interview in 2021. “You have to get there three hours earlier to cover all your tattoos."
30-year-old Davidson, who rose to stardom in SNL when he was 20, admitted he never expected to be cast in movies. “So now I’m burning them off, (and) burning them off is worse than getting them,” he added.
Davidson’s SNL cameo is a rare public appearance after he temporarily stepped out of the spotlight. He was previously seen in late October at a Los Angeles event with friend Machine Gun Kelly, where he first unveiled his tattoo removal transformation.
Davidson previously starred in The King of Staten Island, Bodies Bodies Bodies, and The Suicide Squad.
