Sylvia Sanchez pens sweet message to Maine Mendoza ahead of wedding
Sylvia Sanchez said it was a “prayer come true” that she gets along with her soon-to-be daughter-in-law Maine Mendoza.
The veteran actress took to Instagram to express her gratitude and appreciation to Maine ahead of the wedding slated to happen this year.
“Ito ang isa sa mga dasal ko bilang INA na makasundo ng Pamilya ang mapapangasawa ng mga anak ko,” she wrote on her social media post which features pictures of the surprise pajama-themed bridal shower organized by the Atayde family shared on Monday, July 24.
“Masaya ako at nagpapasalamat dahil ibinigay ng DIYOS ang panalangin kong ito,” she added in the caption.
“Matagal na kitang minahal at itinuring na isang tunay na anak mula ng minahal mo ang anak kong si Arjo,” she said with heart emoji.
She went on to express her warm welcome to Maine, saying she intends to make her feel belong just as what she experienced with her own in-laws.
“Ngayon, hayaan mo naman akong iparamdam sayo ng buong buo ang pagmamahal at pagtanggap sayo bilang isang tunay na anak, gaya ng ipinaramdam sa akin ng mga biyenan ko,” she said.
“Tara na! Mag Yes, I Do ka na para selyado na,” she quipped. “Love you Menggay.”
In response, Maine commented: “Waaaaah love you tita! Thank you so much for everything.”
Fans, including celebrity Vina Morales, can’t help but express their kilig over the sweet message.
“Ang biyenan na papangarapin ng lahat, more in laws like you po sana,” a social media user said.
“Ang sarap magkaroon ng ganitong mother in law na tunay kang minamahal,” another one said.
Meanwhile, the celebrity couple has been sharing what appears to be prenup photos of them taken abroad.
Maine and Arjo got engaged in July 2022 after over three years of dating. The latter confirmed in a June interview with entertainment site PUSH that they are set to get married this year.
