Kathryn Bernardo unfollows Daniel Padilla on Instagram
Kathryn Bernardo unfollowed Daniel Padilla on Instagram less than two months after confirming their split.
The actress started making the rounds online late Wednesday, Jan. 10 after eagle-eyed social media users found out that her ex-boyfriend is no longer on her following list on IG.
Daniel is still following Kathryn on the online platform as of writing.
Kathryn and Daniel confirmed their breakup last Nov. 30 after an 11-year romance. “We've been drifting apart for a while now, and we ultimately had to accept that we can't go back to where we used to be,” she said, adding that their love story “began with respect and ended with respect.”
It came after weeks of rumors, which began when talent manager Ogie Diaz brought it up in his vlog but clarified there was no confirmation regarding it.
In December, Kathryn wrote in an IG post that there’s “no looking back” for her, “only moving forward” without specifically mentioning her breakup with Daniel.
Even after their split, however, the former couple has been spotted together in various events, including the ABS-CBN Christmas Special and Asia Artist Awards last year as well as Robi Domingo and Maiqui Pineda’s wedding earlier this month.
KathNiel made their debut as a love team on the teen series Growing Up in 2010. It was followed by numerous projects such as Princess and I (2012), Got to Believe (2013), She’s Dating the Gangster (2014), Pangako Sa’yo (2015), Crazy Beautiful You (2015), Barcelona: A Love Untold (2016), La Luna Sangre (2017), and The Hows of Us (2018).
Their onscreen romance eventually blossomed off-screen, with the two finally confirming their years-long relationship in 2018.
