BLACKPINK’s Jennie to release first studio album ‘Ruby’ on March 7
Jennie’s first-ever solo album is coming soon!
The K-pop star released a new teaser on Jan. 22 for her first-ever solo album, Ruby, which is set to be released on March 7.
In the 33-second teaser, Jennie, sporting red hair, is seen pulling off mythical looks.
It's later revealed that the album will also feature exciting collaborations with international stars like Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, FKJ, and Kali Uchis.
Ruby will have 15 songs, including her hit single Mantra, which came out last October. The album will also have a CD version that will not include featured artists.
After establishing her own label, Odd Atelier (OA), in December 2023, Jennie signed a solo artist deal with Columbia Records in September 2024.
Jennie debuted in the K-pop scene in 2016 as part of the K-pop girl group BLACKPINK, together with Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa.
She made her solo debut with a single, SOLO in 2018. She also released a special single, You & Me in 2023.
Jennie also collaborated with singer-rappers ZICO for SPOT! and Matt Champion for Slow Motion in 2024.
