EXO's Chen and his wife to hold belated wedding ceremony three years after registering their marriage
EXO’s Chen and his non-showbiz wife will finally have their wedding ceremony three years after registering their marriage.
According to a report by South Korean media Soompi, SM Entertainment confirmed that Chen and his wife are “quietly preparing” for their wedding ceremony in October.
“Chen is going to hold a wedding ceremony, which has been delayed due to circumstances, in October,” the agency stated.
Further details about its exact date and venue weren't disclosed, but it will reportedly be attended only by their family and close friends, including EXO.
The wedding ceremony was put on hold due to his wife’s giving birth and Chen's military enlistment in October 2020.
The K-pop star first announced their marriage in January 2020, with the news that they are also about to welcome their first child. Their second child was born early in 2022 amid his military service.
Meanwhile, Chen is also preparing for his first Japanese solo album dubbed Polaris on August 17. He is also set to have his solo Japanese tour starting on August 19.
Chen, also known by his real name Kim Jong-dae, entered the K-pop scene belonging to the boy group EXO in 2012 where he serves as one of the main vocalists. He is also part of the sub-unit EXO-CBX with Baekhyun and Xiumin.
He had his solo debut in 2019 with the mini album dubbed April, and a Flower.
