WATCH: Bea Alonzo shares behind-the-scenes moments from Dominic Roque's marriage proposal

Bea Alonzo shared some behind-the-scenes moments from the day that Dominic Roque asked her to be his wife.

In her YouTube vlog uploaded on Saturday, Aug. 12, the 35-year-old actress can be heard sharing her views on love and marriage in between clips from what she initially thought was a photoshoot for the recently concluded GMA Gala. 

For the last layout, photographer Mark Nicdao instructed her to turn around—little did she know that it was when the love of her life would get down on one knee and ask if they could spend the rest of their lives forever.

Recalling the marriage proposal, Bea said it felt like it happened in “slow motion.” 

“Actually, you know what, it felt like everything went in slow motion,” she said. “I couldn’t even hear him say anything. I can only hear my thoughts, and I was thinking, this is it,” she added. 

The local star also shared she had been waiting for that special moment to come for a long time. “I have been waiting for this day to come for Dom and I to finally build a family, and it’s actually happening.” 

After the marriage proposal, Bea and Dominic's family, friends, and team proceeded to congratulate them and give them a warm embrace.

“Ganito pala sa totoong buhay. Ilang beses na ako nakagawa ng ganitong eksena,” Bea said with a laugh. 

Looking back, Bea shared that she’s always been so "sure" of Dominic, with faith at the center of their love.

“A lot of my friends are mostly married, and whenever I ask them ‘How do you know when he’s the one?’, they would always say you just know,” she shared. 

“I just knew it, like from the moment we put God in the center of our relationship. It really changed a lot for us,” she continued. 

Bea and Dominic confirmed their romance in 2021. She previously said they are looking to tie the knot in 2024.
