Bea Alonzo reveals John Lloyd Cruz will be invited to her wedding: 'Isa siya sa mga unang nag-congratulate sa'kin'
Now that she is set to tie the knot with her longtime love Dominic Roque, Bea Alonzo is expected to invite many of her fellow celebrities to her much-awaited wedding. Will her love team partner John Lloyd Cruz be there as well?
"Oo naman, si John Lloyd, hindi naman mawawala 'yun sa guest list," Bea told the press after she was announced as the newest endorser of the Philippine Statistics Authority's Census of Agriculture and Fisheries on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
"Sa totoo lang, isa siya sa mga unang nag-congratulate sa'kin. Masaya siya para sa'kin, so na-touch naman ako. Syempre naman, hindi mawawala 'yun. Lumaki kami nang magkasama, paano naman siya mawawala?" she said.
John Lloyd and Bea starred as a love team in One More Chance (2007) and its sequel A Second Chance (2015) as well as The Mistress (2012), among others. They made their much-awaited comeback and brought kilig to fans in 2021 with their commercial for a fast-food chain dubbed One True Pair. They also had a live script reading of That Thing Called Tadhana in 2020.
The actress announced her engagement to Dominic in July on her Instagram account, where she posted some photos from when the love of her life got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.
While many of her fans can't wait for their wedding, Bea revealed they haven't started planning for it as they're still enjoying their time as a newly engaged couple.
"Pinoproseso pa namin pakiramdam ng bagong engaged—parang wala pang dalawang linggo rin. Alam namin, hindi mababalikan ang feeling na ito. Ayaw muna namin ma-stress sa wedding planning. In fact, wala pa kaming nakukuhang wedding planner din," Bea said.
She, however, has been spending her time watching wedding videos to get some tips and ideas for when they start planning for their big day.
Bea sparked dating rumors with Dominic in 2020 after being spotted together in similar locations. The local star confirmed their romance a year later, saying it "just came out naturally."
