Michelle Dee on friendship with Anntonia Porsild: 'When we became close, medyo naging inseparable na talaga kami'
Philippines' Michelle Dee and Thailand's Anntonia Porsild may have concluded their journey to the Miss Universe crown, but their strong bond is here to stay.
In a guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Monday, Nov. 27, Michelle talked about her friendship with the Thai beauty queen, sharing that it started the moment they got to talk to each other.
“One of the best things in pageantry is, you know, meeting amazing girls with like-minded passions and it just so happened that me and Anntonia actually got to know each other,” she said.
The local star revealed that she and Anntonia “have a lot of things in common.”
“We have the same energy, we have the same sense of humor—we are both very sarcastic and we both have very dark humor,” she shared with a laugh.
In a separate interview on GMA’s morning show Unang Hirit, the beauty queen-actress shared that it took a while for her and Anntonia to cross paths and have a conversation.
"When we arrived [in El Salvador] the first week, we were assigned to different tourist destinations, so hindi kami nagsama until rehearsals," she recalled.
She said she decided to post their first photo together only to show fans that “Philippines and Thailand are good friends, wala na yung away-away.”
“But when we became close, medyo naging inseparable na talaga kami,” she continued.
Without getting into much detail, Michelle shared that she and Anntonia have exchanged invitations and have asked permission from their respective national directors to visit each other’s homeland.
“Nung pauwi kaming dalawa to our respective countries, may mga natanggap balita kaming natanggap, so sana matuloy,” she added, hinting at an upcoming collab with her pageant sister.
Michelle and Anntonia, dubbed PorDee, have been making their fans kilig with the adorable friendship they have formed during their Miss Universe 2023 stint. They made the rounds online with their social media posts, including entertaining vlogs and goofy TikTok content.
