Is there trouble in paradise for Yen Santos and Paolo Contis?
There have been breakup rumors between the celebrity couple after Yen's birthday post for Paolo on Instagram last March can no longer be found.
The post, which was captured by several local outlets like GMA News, showed a throwback photo of Contis doing the laundry, a video of him blowing his cake’s candle, and their selfie.
“Screaming happy 40th birthday to my best friend!” the post read. “Thank you for everything you do.”
The comments section had been disabled, too.
Moreover, Yen is no longer following anyone to date, fueling the breakup rumors.
She also made a cryptic post last May 1, sharing her selfie with the caption, “Hope you have an amazing month” and “Come what May,” a play on the expression about whatever happens.
Paolo, meanwhile, is still following Yes (and the only one at that).
His last post about her was in November 2022, during her birthday, when he called her “My Best Actress.”
Last November 2023, Paolo said he and Yen were still together amid rumors that he was involved with his then-Eat Bulaga! co-host Arra San Agustin.
Paolo and Yen sparked dating rumors in 2021 on the heels of his controversial breakup with LJ Reyes, with whom he shares a daughter named Summer.
The celebrity couple confirmed their relationship in January 2023 but maintained that she wasn’t a third party in his relationship with LJ. He, however, admitted to not being faithful throughout their relationship.
Third-party accusations began when they were spotted spending time together in Baguio right after his breakup. At the time, Paolo said Yen was there for him "as a friend."
LJ, meanwhile, got married to businessman Philip Evangelista in October 2023. They’re now living in New York with Summer and Aki, her son with actor Paulo Avelino.
