LJ Reyes says Paolo Contis has made 'no efforts' to reach out, says she's praying to forgive him
LJ Reyes reveals that her ex-partner Paolo Contis has not made any efforts to reach out to her following their controversial breakup.
"No efforts," she told Boy Abunda in an exclusive video uploaded on Oct. 27 where she also talked about forgiving Contis.
"It’s a work in progress. Pinagdadasal ko na mapatawad ko siya because I know that if I don’t forgive him, this very dark emotion will just eat me up and I won’t be able to move forward with my kids nang maayos at nang walang galit," she said.
Reyes also said that she has been holding on to her faith throughout the breakup and that her actions and decisions will put her kids Aki and Summer first.
"Everyday I always pray, na pag gumawa ako ng decision na it will always be based on God’s will or kung ano makakabuti sa anak ko. I really have to forgive, not forget."

On Sept. 8, Contis issued a lengthy statement on Instagram after Reyes' first interview with Abunda airing his side and apologizing to his ex-partner, his ex-wife Lian Paz, and their children. Reyes shared that although people were telling her about this post, she chose to not give it her attention.
"I know that eventually, he would have to release a statement and speak up. but it’s something na 'di ko na binigyan ng attention masyado. 'Di po madali—baka akalain ng mga tao na madaling gawin yon—na i-disregard nalang mga nababasa o nakakarating samin pero it’s a difficult process para marinig at makita at isantabi mo or else it’s just gonna break you," the actress said.
"Sinasabi ko nalang ‘Okay it’s just a process, dadaanan mo talaga 'to pero basta dasal ka lang. Hingi ka ng strength, wisdom, and favor ni God.’"
Keeping in touch with Paolo Avelino
Reyes also told the veteran TV host that Paolo Avelino, Aki's father, has reached out to check in on her.
"We’re not friends friends na everyday nag-uusap pero he’s been there for Aki," she shared."He’s been in touch. Nagsabi siya na ‘I know you’re going through a very difficult time’ and siyempre iniisip niya si Aki. If there’s anything daw na I need when it comes to Aki, I can always tell him."
