SB19's Stell, Pablo admit getting surgical enhancements helped boost their confidence
SB19 members Stell Ajero and Pablo set the record straight on the issue of undergoing surgical enhancement, admitting they had it as a means of boosting their self-confidence
On Friday, Sept. 13, episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the two got real in terms of addressing the surgical procedures they went through, saying there is no wrong in doing that, especially if one has the means.
"Yeah, even my friends asked me parang 'uy nagpa-ano [surgery] ka ba talaga?' Sabi ko 'hindi ba obvious?' tapos sinasagot ko 'kapag sinabe ko bang no, maniniwala ka? 'Di ba hindi ka rin maniniwala,' so sinasabi ko po," Stell said.
"I think wala namang mali kasi I'm sure kapag tinanung ko yung friend ko, 'ay kapag may pera ako papagawa rin ko n'yan,'" he continued.
Likewise, Pablo said he was reluctant to go to surgical procedures at first, but after trying fillers, his confidence got higher.
"Sabi ko po sa kanila, 'Di ba napag-usapan natin ‘yan nung ‘di pa tayo kilala, parang ‘magpapa-ganon ka ba ever?’ Parang ganun. Tapos ang sagot ko po, ‘Never. Hindi pumasok sa isipan ko," the La Luna singer said.
"Pero hindi ko nalang namalayan one day nagpapafiller na rin ako dito [forehead], parang sabi ko'nakaka-boost pala talaga siya ng confidence," Pablo added.
Stell went on to emphasize that one can do any surgical procedure especially if they have the means to do it.
"Tsaka, if you have the means, why not? ‘Di naman hinihingi ‘yon, pinagtatrabahuhan."
In June, Stell, the group's main choreographer made rounds on social media because of his on-the-spot performance at David Foster's concert that earned him praise from the record producer.
The P-pop singer wowed the crowd when he sang All By Myself, which award-winning singer Céline Dion famously covered. His performance left David in awe for a while before he said, "Wow! And he's your very own." During that month, he also released his single, Room.
Meanwhile, Pablo, SB19's leader, released his eight-track album Alon last week.
Alon comprises of songs such as La Luna, Presyon, Wala, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, Kumunoy, Kelan ft. Josue, Drowning In The Water, and Breathe (Outro).
Stell and Pablo will serve as celebrity judges in the new season of The Voice Kids Philippines alongside Billy Crawford and Julie Anne San Jose. It is set to air on Sunday, Sept. 15, on GMA Network.
