Kim Woo-Bin, Bae Suzy to reunite for new Netflix fantasy drama

After almost eight years, Uncontrollably Fond stars Kim Woo Bin and Bae Suzy are reuniting for a fantasy drama!

In a social media post, streaming giant Netflix confirmed the production and cast lineup of the drama All the Love You Wish For as it shared photos of the K-drama stars reading the script.

"Our wish has been granted!" the caption read.

The new Netflix drama, helmed by Chicken Nugget director Lee Byeong-Heon and written by The Glory writer Kim Eun-sook, follows the story of an "overly emotional genie trapped inside a lamp and the woman who helps him escape his prison," according to Korean entertainment website Soompi.

Woo Bin will play Jinn, "the volatile genie who awakens after a thousand years," while Suzy will portray Ka Young, "a human who lacks emotion."

Other cast members include My Dearest star Ahn Eun Jin, Noh Sang Hyun of Pachinko, Go Kyu Pil, and Lee Joo Young.

Other details, including the show's premiere date, are yet to be announced.

Kim Woo Bin and Bae Suzy starred in the hit 2016 K-drama offering Uncontrollably Fond. The latter won Best Star at the first Asia Artist Awards (AAA) held in the same year for her performance in the series.

Kim Woo Bin is known for his roles in various hit Korean dramas, including Black Knight (2023), The Heirs (2013), School 2013 (2013), and To the Beautiful You (2012), among others.

Bae Suzy, meanwhile, is a K-pop idol-turned-actress. She starred in Netflix's Doona! (2023), Start-Up (2020), Vagabond (2019), While You Were Sleeping (2017), and Dream High (2012), among others.
