Heart Evangelista reflects on turning 40: ‘Growth isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it’
Heart Evangelista is nothing but grateful for her growth as she reflected on her life’s journey ahead of her 40th birthday.
“I’ve learned that growth isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it,” she captioned her Feb. 13 post, sharing a video compilation of her over the years, including her early days in showbiz.
“I’ve come to love every part of me—flaws, fears, and everything in between. I’ve learned things the hard way, but more importantly, I’ve learned to forgive myself,” she continued.
The video also included glimpses of fashion weeks, a visit to patients in a hospital, and her vow renewal ceremony with Senate President Chiz Escudero in February 2024.
“The journey has shown me what truly matters: love, peace, and being true to myself,” she added.
She concludes, “I’m stepping into this next chapter with so much gratitude, knowing every step has brought me exactly here, to this moment.”
Heart also marked her 40th birthday with a photoshoot by BJ Pascual, wearing a custom Dior tan dress embellished with crystals, she topped off the look with bright red hair.
“#becoming40 is just 20, but with better decisions and an earlier bedtime,” she captioned the post.
Welcoming her birthday, which coincides with Valentine’s Day, Heart gathered her nearest and dearest for her simplistic chic-themed party held at Whitespace Manila. Big celebrities like Bea Alonzo, Tim Yap, Mark Bautista, designer Rajo Laurel, and celebrity dermatologist Dr. Aivee Aguilar Teo were among those present at the event.
Some of the highlights of the event are her seven-foot-tall heart-shaped cake by Chef Castillo Fuentes, a performance by drag queen Zymba, and a rave party with DJ-model Xtina Superstar.
Prior to this, she was greeted with a surprise birthday party organized by designer Michael Leyva, days before her birthday on Feb. 14.
