Krystyna Pyszkova of Czech Republic won the highly coveted title at the 71st edition of Miss World.

Her feat makes her the country’s second Miss World winner—almost two decades after Tatana Kucharova reigned supreme at the competition in 2006.

Pyszkova succeeded Karolina Bielawska of Poland, who won grand title during the tilt’s previous edition held in Puerto Rico.

Miss World 2022 Karolina Bielawska crowns successor Krystyna Pyszkova at the 71st Miss World pageant.

The coronation night was held on Saturday, March 9 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India.

Pyszkova was followed by Yasmina Zaytoun of Lebanon, who emerged as first runner-up. Lesego Chombo of Botswana and Ache Abrahams of Trinidad and Tobago were also among the top finalists at the recently concluded event.

Philippines’ Gwendolyne Fourniol did not manage to make it to the Top 40 of the competition.

Prior to the finals, she was among the Top 23 talent semifinalists and Top 25 finalists of Miss World's Head-to-Head Challenge, where she impressed the jury with her speech that put a spotlight on education as part of her Beauty With A Purpose advocacy.
