Harnaaz Sandhu on Wednesday, January 18, gave her followers a closer look at her farewell gown which she wore to the 71st Miss Universe pageant.

During her final walk at the Miss Universe 2022 coronation night held last January 15, Sandhu, the third Indian titleholder of the prestigious pageant, graced the stage in a black ballgown by designer Saisha Shinde. However, the design of her dress, which included faces of women, wasn't that visible.

It was revealed on Instagram that the women were actually pictures of Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta Bhupati, former Miss Universe queens from India.

The Indian beauty queen shared more snaps of her regal dress, along with a message of gratitude.

"It's my purest honor and gratitude to represent my incredible country at Miss Universe," she said, thanking Shinde for making her "dream gown."

"A huge tribute to these two incredible women from India, you have been making our country proud since becoming Miss Universe."

Tagging Sen and Bhupati, she added: "I truly adore you both a lot... this one is for you and India."

Reacting to the tribute, Bhupatti commented on Harnaaz's post, "May you always shine bright like the diamond you are!! Stay your humble, amazing, strong self sista!!! Here’s looking at you kid!!!!! Good luck for all that’s yet to come!"

Fellow Miss Universe titleholder Zozibini Tunzi and Miss Universe Organization CEO Amy Emmerich also left comments on the post.

"What a beautiful tribute! Well done on a successful reign. We love you always our forever Miss Universe," wrote Tunzi.

Emmerich, meanwhile, said: "It was the dress that said it all! and showed your heart- you are kind and think of others!"

Sandhu crowned USA's R'Bonney Gabriel as the new Miss Universe in a grand event held on Saturday, January 15.
