Hiraya: Michael Leyva's 10th anniversary fashion show dresses celebs, models in glitz and glam
The stars were out for Michael Leyva's 10th-year anniversary fashion show, titled Hiraya, where he debuted his latest ensembles that oozed glitz and glamour on the runway.
"Hiraya: Isang Dekada ng Aming Pagmamahal at Pangarap" featured a 50-piece collection—from classic gowns and bedazzled neutrals to colorful handpainted pieces—crafted by Leyva to celebrate his decade in the fashion industry. The wedding gown designer also paid homage to his late brother, fellow designer Brian Leyva, through the gala.
The fashion show was held at the National Museum of the Philippines where celebrities and models like Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Vice Ganda, and Anne Curtis strutted in designer outfits. Erik Santos and Regine Velasquez-Alcasid also performed during the fashion show.
Wurtzbach opened the show with a luminous entrance featuring Leyva's golden one-shoulder gown.
Meanwhile, Curtis donned Leyva's winning "Five Centavo" terno, a 35-pound pantsuit adorned with five-peso coins.
Some big names in politics were also in attendance, including First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, Senator Nancy Binay, and Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna.
"Last night was a dream turned into reality," Leyva captioned on Instagram. Thank you Kuya Brian. This is for you. I love you and I miss you."
"I will be forever grateful to all the people who supported me from the very beginning of my journey, especially my family, friends, and team Michael Leyva Manila. I would not have done it or made it to 10 years without your support and patience with me."
