Miss World Philipppines appoints Dindi Pajares as new Miss Supranational Philippines
After its coronation night was postponed due to quarantine restrictions, the Miss World Philippines Organization has appointed Dindi Pajares, one of the 45 contestants of the Miss World Philippines 2021 pageant, as the new Miss Supranational Philippines.
This was announced by Miss World Philippines National Director Arnold Vegafria in a live video posted on the pageant’s official Facebook account on Saturday, July 24.
As the new Miss Supranational Philippines, Pajares will represent the country in the upcoming Miss Supranational pageant in Poland on August 21.
The appointment had to take place as the Miss World Philippines finals night this year was moved from July 25 to August 8. Pajares is leaving for Europe for the competition on August 3.
Vegafria said it was the Miss World Philippines 2021 candidates who judged and chose the representative to send to the Miss Supranational pageant.
"I've been joining pageants since I was 10. I joined a lot of beauty pageants in the Philippines and I think that I'm good in pasarela (pageant walk), I'm good at doing my own makeup. I'm really good and I have a nice personality and I know how to answer the Q&A with personality. This is something that the world should witness in Poland," Pajares said after being crowned.
This is the first time the Miss World Philippines Organization is sending out a candidate to the Miss Supranational competition; it had acquired the pageant’s local franchise from the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. last year.
Pajares, a flight attendant, is not new to the world of beauty pageants; she had previously joined the Binibining Pilipinas pageant.
She will try to win the country’s second Miss Supranational titled, after Mutya Datul join the crown in 2013.
