2022 Bar examinee who was 'watched' by SC Justice Leonen passes the exam

Know what's tougher than taking the Bar exam? Going through the exact same test, but with a respected magistrate like Supreme Court Justice Marvic Leonon watching you from behind.

Imagine having to endure the pressure and nerve-racking moments of the exam but, at the same time, having to keep your cool because, well, who would want to appear feeble in front of the country's respected judge?

Hard as it seems to be, one examinee at the 2022 law licensure exam has proven that fear is only an illusion when he had to undergo the same situation, but ended up passing the grueling test despite the magistrate "watching over" him.

During the examinations in November 2022, Marvin Cimafranca was one of the takers that were captured during the photo-ops. His photo while taking the exam with SC Justice Leonen seemingly fixated on his laptop screen went viral, garnering 2,136 likes and 150 quote retweets as of writing.

One user tweeted: “Parang pinapakiramdaman ni kuya si Justice Leonen. Napadasal na lang yata. The pressure. Huhu.”

Meanwhile, one user commented about how the situation is similar to examination moments in elementary school.

“Elementary feels yung biglang sabihin ni teacher "guys, make sure you read the questions/instructions carefully,” he wrote with laughing emoji.

SC Justice Leonen also quote retweeted the photo. “Thought bubble po: ‘[A]no kaya iyang sinusulat mo? dissenting opinion?’” he quipped, wishing good luck to Cimafranca.

The full circle moment happened yesterday, April 14, when the Supreme Court announced the 3,992 passers of the 2022 Bar exam and, lo and behold, Cimafranca was among those who came out victorious.

Leonen shared the good news on his Twitter account, re-posting their candid photo during the November 2022 examinations.

“[F]or your information. he passed! Congrats atty!” he wrote.

From the looks of it, Cimafranca sure has the stress management skills needed of a lawyer. Don't you agree?
