Jennylyn and Dennis are more than ready to be hands-on parents to their baby girl.
Celebrity couple Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo gave a tour of their baby girl’s beautiful nursery, in a video uploaded on the singer-actress's YouTube channel on Sunday, May 1.
Mercado said the nursery was originally a staff room that was eventually converted into a safe space for their baby girl.
“Kailangan pa kasi namin ng isa pang room, so a few months ago, nag-decide kami na i-convert ang aming staff room at gawing nursery room kasi kailangan naming paghandaan ‘yung bagong miyembro ng aming pamilya,” Mercado added.
As soon as you enter the nursery, you’ll be welcomed by pink furniture and decorations, an adorable mural, and a space-saving bookshelf. Mercado said the bookshelf was placed in the corner since there was “no space left.”
The nursery also includes a minimal white and brown drawer unit adorned with transparent stickers. According to Mercado, she loves labeling and organizing her items, which explain the use of sticker labels on the storage units.
“Kung mapapansin niyo, lahat ng drawer namin, lahat ng mga lalagyan dito, naka-label,” Mercado said.
The celebrity mom also shared that they decided to have a mural of pink flamingos and trees to make the nursery look more “fun.”
The nursery also includes a relaxing nursing station with a custom-made rocker and handy baby bags perched on a white rack. Mercado said she was advised by Trillo’s sister to have a carrier for emergencies.
The nursery also includes custom-made cube shelves and a bookcase tower that house their baby’s belongings. The celebrity mom said having a weighing scale is a must for their baby girl since her pediatrician will visit for check-ups.
The highlight of the nursery, however, is a crib that includes a pink canopy, pink pillows, white blankets, pink decorations, a handy baby camera, and a princess crown perched on top.
“Ito ‘yung dream na crib ko talaga, parang princess. Kasi ang tagal naming hinintay ‘to, [na magkaroon ng] baby girl so talagang binigay ko na, binuhos ko na,” Mercado said.
Of course, no room is complete without the bathroom. To wrap up the tour, Mercado showed the nursery’s bathroom and a handful of unpacked items.
Mercado and Trillo also revealed that they’ve welcomed their baby girl with a follow-up clip dated April 25.
