'Hindi pa kami ready!': Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo have welcomed their firstborn daughter, baby D

It's official: Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo have welcomed their baby girl!

In their nursery room tour vlog posted last May 1, the couple delighted fans with an unexpected a follow-up clip dated April 25, 2022.

In the candid video, the couple can be seen smiling as Jennylyn lies down in a hospital bed.

"Okay ka lang diyan?" Dennis asked while Jennylyn nodded along.

“Check-up lang dapat kami ngayon eh," Jen began. "Bigla na lang kaming, bigla na lang eto na, manganganak na raw."

"Hindi kami ready!" she exclaimed while the two share another smile.

In the following clip, Dennis took a short video wearing scrubs: "Medyo kinakabahan ako."

The video ended with a black and white photo of the couple in the operating room.

Dennis and Jennylyn announced their engagement in October of last year. They initially opted for a surrogate but discovered that Jennylyn was pregnant before they could sign the official contract.

The showbiz couple started dating in 2010 but broke up the following year. They eventually got back together in 2014 and have been co-parenting Dennis' two sons in a previous relationship and Jennylyn's son with actor Patrick Garcia.

In a Facebook post on May 3, Jennylyn shared their first pictures with "baby D" along with the announcement of their presidential bet for the 2022 elections.

"Thank you Lord for this answered prayer and thank you sa inyo na nagpaabot ng pagbati. Sobrang naappreciate namin ni Dennis," the actress began.

She then directed the topic to their newborn daughter's future.

"May maayos kaya silang plataporma para sa edukasyon? May magsusulong kaya ng batas para mas maprotektahan ang kanyang karapatan bilang bata? May maayos ba silang programa sa kalusugan? Maging maayos kaya ang palakad nila sapat para maging ligtas ang kapaligiran," Jennyn queried.

She went on to formally endorse Vice President Leni Robredo, dubbing her an "ultimate survivor" for being a single mother and politician.

"In the end, the last man standing is really going to be a woman. Naniniwala ako doon," Jennylyn wrote. "Puno ang puso ko ng pag-asa lalo pa’t ngayon pa lang nai-inspire nya na ang libo libong Pilipino na magkaisa at isulong ang mas maayos na Pilipinas."
