Hong Kong Disneyland to hold auditions for character performers, vocalists in the Philippines
Ever dreamt of becoming a Disney Princess or a Marvel hero as a kid? Here's your chance to make those long-held dreams come true as Hong Kong Disneyland is opening auditions for performers and vocalists in the Philippines.
Recruitment firm Archangel Global Solutions, Inc. made the announcement on Facebook on Wednesday, Nov. 22, with a graphics stating the schedule of the auditions, which are set to take place on Dec. 3 and 4 at the Steps Studio in Poblacion, Makai City.
Auditions for the face and show characters will be held on Dec. 3, while experienced vocalists can apply for the role on Dec. 4.
According to the guidelines on the agency's website, face characters are those with similar facial features as Disney or Marvel characters. Like show characters, they will be tasked to perform in shows, and parades, as well as interact with parkgoers during meet-and-greet sessions.
The casting call for face characters will begin at 9 a.m., while those applying as show characters will be accommodated starting at 1 p.m. Registrations will start an hour before each schedule.
Experienced vocalists, on the other hand, will be tasked to "perform a variety of musical styles in both indoor and outdoor locations."
Those applying for the role must sing at least two songs, one of which should be upbeat and happy, the agency noted. They are also required to bring their sheet music for the accompanist to use during their audition.
Auditions will start at 9 a.m. on Dec. 4, with the agency possibly calling back shortlisted candidates in the afternoon.
Applicants for any of the three roles must be at least 21 years old and are willing to relocate to Hong Kong during the duration of their contract.
To reserve your slot in the auditions, the agency suggests sending your resume and photo to [email protected] with the subject, Disney Face/Show Character or Disney Vocalist (Male/Female) before heading to the studio. It said that the auditions are also open for walk-in applicants, but priority will be given to those who pre-registered.
The agency noted that this recruitment activity is approved by the POEA under Registration number 10243187 and that no fee will be collected during the application process.
