Delivery rider captures the heart of his customer, ends up marrying her

What began with “add to cart,” led to one capturing someone’s heart.

Online shopping app rider Marlon Cajucom captured the heart of his customer Jhasin May Benito, who was introduced to him by his regular customer, and now mother-in-law.

In a now viral post by Asingan, Pangasinan PIO on Facebook, Marlon said that it was in October 2020 when Jhasin’s mom, Mary Grace, became his regular customer.

Upon seeing his hard work, Mary Grace asked him if he already has a wife.

In an interview with ABS-CBN’s Teleradyo, Jhasin recounted that Marlon saw her photo in her mother’s phone and told her in jest if Mary Grace could introduce Jhasin to him. At the time, Jhasin was still in Cavite where she was studying.

Jhasin went back to Pangasinan because of the pandemic and while under quarantine, she would order from the shopping app but at the time, it was her mother who would receive her parcels.

It was only on Marlon’s third delivery when they met face to face. They were eventually able to chat and added each other on Facebook. As conversations bloomed into a relationship, Marlon, 32, spoke with Jhasin’s parents personally that he would court him.

In the interview, Jhasin, 22, said that after one month of courtship, they officially became a couple. And less than three months later, they got married on Jan. 26.

When asked what Jhasin liked about Marlon, she said even though he was busy with work, Marlon made time for her. “Hindi rin po siya nanliligaw through text. Personal po siya nagpupunta sa bahay. Nagdadala ng flowers and food. Pati parents ko, niligawan niya.”

Meanwhile, in the Asingan Facebook post, Marlon said that he did not expect that Jhasin would pay attention to him.

He also thanked those who sent their congratulations and hoped that their love story will be an inspiration to others.

And what’s Marlon’s advice for those who are still looking for the love of their life? “Add to cart lang po at baka yung susunod na kakatok sa mga pinto niyo o mag-hahatid ng mga parcel niyo ay ang magiging Mr. Right or ang magiging ‘the one’ ninyo.”
