The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority announced that it has entered into a partnership with Amazon Web Services to offer free courses on artificial intelligence and cloud computing.
Under the agreement, Filipino learners will be able to have access to "industry-leading cloud and AI training to help them pursue better employment and career advancement."
"Skills development is ultimately about creating opportunities for people. Through this collaboration with AWS, we are giving Filipinos access to world-class cloud and AI training that they can use to build careers, pursue new opportunities, and contribute to the growth of our digital economy," said TESDA Secretary Kiko Benitez.
There will be three courses available: Fundamentals of AI, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and AWS Certified AI Practitioner.
Fundamentals of AI will provide learners with foundational knowledge and skills in AI and Machine Learning, including their fundamental concepts, applications, and real-world use cases. It focuses on the essentials of prompt engineering and responsible AI practices to help learners understand how AI technologies can be utilized effectively, ethically, and responsibly in various contexts.
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner builds practical cloud competency across AWS services, security, architecture, and pricing, with a pathway to a globally recognized certification.
Lastly, AWS Certified AI Practitioner equips you with applied AI skills, including responsible AI, generative AI, and the practical use of AWS AI services for real-world problem-solving.
The courses are now available on TESDA's website.
