Single man advertises himself on a billboard to get a date

How far would you go to score a date?

A 23-year-old man, who has never been in any relationships, advertised himself on a highway billboard in an effort to find love.

Ed Chapman, from Leeds, West York, decided to go outside the box after being single his whole life and found no luck in such dating apps or going out to bars, according to a report by the New York Daily Paper.

“It’s a silly thing and I don’t like to take life too seriously, so I think using a billboard to find a girlfriend reflects that,” Ed told the reporters.

Displayed on the M621 on the way to Leeds, the giant billboard says 'Date me' with an arrow pointing to his picture. He also included his dating email intended for interested single girls.

"I designed the billboard myself and took my own photo which was one of the hardest things," he said.

His advertisement, which became the talk of the town, has already garnered four direct contacts from women after seeing the billboard across the highway. Although he admits it is not a traditional dating method, Ed believes that his way of bidding for love shows his fun personality and outlook on life.

"I am grateful that they gave me the opportunity," he added. The bulletin will remain posted for a week.

Meanwhile, Filipino businessman Christian Gaza sparked the same trend after spending billboards asking Erich Gonzales and Blackpink's Jennie for a coffee date.
