Another beauty pageant has opened its doors looking for a new queen.

The Miss Philippines, which was officially launched in June 2023, announced that the auditions for their maiden competition in October are now open. Screenings are scheduled on Aug. 26, Sept. 2 and 9 at the Enderun CoWorking in Estancia Mall in Pasig City.

Interested applicants must be female, ages 18-32 years old, single, and of Filipino heritage. Additionally, they must also submit an accomplished TMP application form, a certified true copy of their birth certificate, and a certified true copy of their high school diploma to [email protected].

The Miss Philippines was founded by Shamcey Supsup and Jonas Gaffud of the Miss Universe Philippines Organization. It is said to be the “newest, most innovative, and modern pageant in the Philippines.”

The pageant will have its debut as part of The Filipino Festival happening in October that aims to "promote and preserve the rich culture and heritage of the Philippines."

Winners of the Miss Philippines are set to compete internationally at the Miss Supranational or Miss Charm pageants, along with prizes such as guaranteed income and a brand new Wuling Mini Electric Vehicle.

Miss Supranational 2023 first runner-up Pauline Amelinckx was previously crowned as the first-ever The Miss Philippines last Aug. 10.

"You embody not only the Filipino spirit that has made you the queen you are today, but you also filled the hearts of every Filipino with joy and pride. Your journey brought people together in celebration of the Filipina's beauty, wisdom, and influence," the organization said in a post.
