Gas station staff asks friend to rob store so he could get off work early

What a way to leave work early…

A gas station clerk got creative as he came up with an excuse to leave work and go home early.

According to a Facebook post by the Tulsa Police Department, an employee named Isaias Jones called the police on June 5 to report that a man entered the convenience store and gave him a note that said: “Give me all your money or I will shoot you.”

To ensure his safety from the incident, he ended up giving the suspect—identified as Steven Jones—some cash he asked for.

Steven was arrested three days later for the crime and revealed that it was his friend, Alyia Locke, that set up the robbery after the store clerk asked them to do so.

Alyia also confessed to the crime and showed some text messages from Isaias to prove that he really wanted it to happen.

After admitting his mistake, Isaias got arrested on June 14 for Embezzlement and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony. Steve was also charged with Conspiracy to Commit Embezzlement and Possession of a Firearm After Former Conviction of a Felony. Alyia, meanwhile, got arrested for an outstanding warrant and “could also face charges for embezzlement.”

“This is an arrest, not a conviction,” authorities said.

“Our Human Resources department, and likely every H.R. department in the world would like to advise people that this is not the recommended way to leave work early,” they added.
