A career in the life insurance industry goes beyond selling financial products. It involves building relationships, maintaining trust, and guiding clients in their journey. It also entails leading fellow financial advisors to serve with the heart. Ultimately, it means transforming lives.

In gist, this is the story of InLife’s Club of Honors awardees: Arslie M. Malipero and Razlee Louie V. Malipero of CPV Malipero and Associates Insurance Agency, Top Financial Advisor of the Year, and Top Unit Manager of the Year, respectively; and Celix C. Gurrea of Agila Financial Team General Insurance Agency, Top Agency Head of the Year.

Fulfilling a mission

Arslie, who hails from Davao, has personally witnessed how life insurance helps families move forward after losing their loved ones.

“The insurance benefits fill the financial gap and provide stability during very challenging times,” he shared.

“My clients’ experiences remind me that what we do is more than selling policies. Being a financial advisor is all about protecting families and ensuring that financial security can continue, even when the unexpected happens.”

The passing of some of his clients who had become his friends reinforced Arslie’s mission of helping others protect their futures.

“While losing clients is painful, there is also a sense of fulfillment knowing that I was able to help ensure that the families they left behind can move forward with dignity, stability, and hope. These experiences made me realize that this work is more than a profession but my mission in life,” Arslie recalled.

Leading with empathy

Louie saw how his parents, Arslie and Caroline, educate people on the value of life insurance. This inspired him to follow their winning path in life.

“Seeing how my parents’ guidance changed lives left a deep impression on me. I realized that true success isn’t measured only by personal or financial achievements, but by the positive impact we create in the lives of others,” shared Louie.

“I embrace this work as more than a career, but a calling to help Filipino families plan wisely, secure their future, and build a lifetime for good,” he added.

As unit manager, Louie leads his team of financial advisors with empathy and purpose.

“Leadership begins with empathy—understanding the dreams, needs, and challenges of both my team and the clients we serve. By truly listening, I guide our financial advisors not just toward production, but toward a greater purpose: helping Filipino families achieve financial independence and a secure future.”

Building a legacy of service

Celix, for his part, said every policy represents protection, hope, and security for a Filipino family. This purpose inspires the Cebu-based Agila Financial Team to work with integrity, compassion, and commitment.

“As a team, we are not just building careers; we are building a legacy of service, empowering each other to grow while making a meaningful difference in the lives of the families we serve," he shared.

“Over the years, I have woven love into the way I lead by genuinely caring for my team, believing in their potential, and walking with them not only in success but also in difficult moments.”

Celix noted that as financial advisors, they carry on a mission of protecting families during their most difficult moments.

“I committed myself not only to serving Filipino families but also to building people, mentoring leaders, developing financial advisors, and helping them discover their purpose. My mission has been clear: to serve with heart, to lead with purpose, and to continue building people for a lifetime for good."
