What to know about the new Pixar, Marvel attractions at Hong Kong Disneyland
Hong Kong Disneyland is getting a Marvel-ous makeover as the theme park is set to introduce new Marvel and Pixar attractions that are sure to excite fans of both franchises.
Announced during the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in California, the theme park will be building a new Quinjet landing platform at Tomorrowland where guests can admire life-sized statues of their favorite superheroes.
Based on teaser images, this includes Thor, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, and Black Panther.
But that's not all, as the pavilion will also be home to the Avengers Research Testing Labs, which is full of brilliant people working on new technology to help "Earth's Mightiest Heroes," including Peter Parker.
Guests will have to team up with Spider-Man and other superheroes to battle evil forces who are trying to get their hands on the new technology across iconic locations such as Wakanda and Asgard.
For Pixar fans, Hong Kong Disneyland will be staging an immersive theatrical adventure at Toy Story Land hosted by Woody, Jessie, Buzz Lightyear, Rex, and more.
The show will take audiences into the shoes of a new toy character named Poppy, who accompanies her owner Aria to Andy’s neighbourhood.
Michael Serna, executive creative director of Disney Live Entertainment, teased that the experience will give guests "an emotional adventure that explores how meaningful friendships are built, nurtured, and celebrated over time."
The production will debut in the first half of 2027.
